Make an Advent Wreath

You Will Need:

Styrofoam wreath form
Candles: three violet, one pink, (optional: one white)
Greenery
Fish line, wire, or pins for attaching greenery
Optional: Ribbon, Bows, Embellishments

Directions:

1. Using a small serrated knife, make sockets in the Styrofoam wreath to hold each candle.
2. Using fish line, wire, or pins, attach greenery (live greenery is preferred) leaving space around the sockets
3. Place the candles in the sockets.
4. Finish with bows or ribbons, if desired.

Make a Christmas Card for our Friends in Nursing Homes

Sponsored by the Sheens Colleens, our goal is to place 600 cards in the hands of residents of local nursing care facilities by December 18th.

Please place your cards in the bin located inside the Religious Education door during the day.

Make a Pine Cone Bird Feeder

You Will Need:

Medium Size Open Pine Cone
1/3 Cup Peanut Butter
2/3 Cup Corn Meal
Wild Bird Seed Mix
Wire

Directions:

  1. Combine peanut butter or bark butter and cornmeal in a small bowl.
  2. Press the mixture into all the cracks of the pine cone. Roll the sticky peanut butter covered pine cone in the wild bird seed mix.
  3. Attach the wire to the top of the pine cone and hang it outside.
