Bearing the Beams of Love

Everyone is invited to explore this series of teachings during a Thursday night seminar this year from September 14 through June 20 from 7:00-8:00 pm. I know this is a huge commitment, especially for young families, but it will be worth it. I urge you to sign up and come to the first few sessions to see how this information can be helpful to your family, especially for the moral formation of your children.

If you have young children, consider alternating evenings between husband and wife. Those who sign up will be given access to the materials we have carefully produced.

I am so indebted to our Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) at SJCC and the focus group consisting of a wide range of parishioners to whom I presented these letters throughout the 2022/2023 year.  Because of these groups and their honest feedback, I rewrote each letter at least twice, some three or four times.  It was extremely intense, often messy, but love always prevailed.  Inspirited by these lines of a poem by William Blake,

And we are put on earth a little space,

That we may learn to bear the beams of love,

I thought it appropriate to call this program, “Bearing the Beams of Love.”  Love is a burden, although a sweet burden, we all must bear, no matter who we are, or whatever our issues may be.
