All Catholic Charities’ soup kitchen outreaches have closed their centers to volunteers AND to their meal guests due to COVID-19. They are in serious need of “carry-out” meals they can put in appropriate containers to provide to the homeless/poor men, women, and children of Baltimore City.
Thank you for donating over 2,000 bagged lunches. At this time, we are not collecting any more. But, you can still donate:

Make a Card for our Senior Friends
UPDATE: “We were so happy to have enough cards received to provide a card for each resident at the 6 nursing homes in the Sykesville zip code! That was 439 cards delivered! The contacts at these facilities state that the residents are always so happy to receive any mail especially during this time of no visitors!
We are now collecting for a second round of cards. So far we have received an additional 107 cards but are still in need of 332 more cards! Perhaps we could let parishioners know of this need as I am afraid the nursing home residents will be without visitors for quite a while! Deadline of June 4th.”
When Governor Hogan locked down nursing homes and assisted living centers for the safety of the residents it left many people without visitors feeling lonely and vulnerable.
The Sheen’s Colleens want to brighten the days of these residents by giving them beautiful, colorful and loving homemade cards! You can help by make one or more. Suggestions for wording are listed below.
Please place your cards in the bin located inside the Lower Level side entrance
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Sheen’s Colleens will continue to deliver cards until restrictions are lifted and the residents are allowed to have visitors once again.
Please email Linda Grasley if you are interested in assisting with this endeavor. firstname.lastname@example.org.
