Feed My Sheep
Once a month (third Thursday)purchase, prepare and serve a hot meal to guests at Wesley Freedom Methodist Church on Johnsville Road. All are welcome. We have three teams of seven team members (Catholic Daughters) that rotate in preparing these meals. Funding is provided by St. Vincent de Paul ministry. In November, the Catholic Daughters provide a Thanksgiving Dinner for the guests. Besides the teams and chairs, there is a Catholic Daughter that contacts our team members and arranges substitutes when needed. Her husband serves as our dishwasher. Martins Grocery Store provides day old bread and desserts that is available to all guests. These items are picked up prior to our 9:30 a.m. start time.
- Provide a free hot meal for all those in need in our community
- Awareness of Saint Joseph Catholic Community and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas
- Partner with Wesley Freedom Methodist Church and several other churches of different denominations throughout our community
Third Thursday of each month (12 months a year) from 9:30 am until approximately 1:00 pm at Wesley Freedom Methodist Church, Johnsville Road, Eldersburg, Maryland
