How We Give

Your generous and consistent offertory donations will help our Church have a predictable and steady cash flow which allows us carryout the mission of our Church.

The two preferred methods for Parishioners of SJCC to make Offertory contributions are:

  • Donate electronically via OnlineGiving
  • Donate using envelopes  If you need envelopes, please complete the offertory envelope form below.

As a reminder, electronic giving is absolutely safe, we have not had any security issues over the years that we have had electronic giving at Saint Joseph. The parish benefits greatly from electronic giving as it provides a stable financial base which we utilize in our financial planning activities. We are also able to reduce costs associated with mailing envelopes to parishioners.

For those who currently do not participate in electronic giving we would encourage you to prayerfully consider taking advantage of this option of supporting the parish.

The following steps will allow you to set up your new recurring giving:

  1. Enter the gift amount, and choose “Recurring”, then select the gift frequency–there are several options (i.e. Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc.).
  2. Select the fund to give to by clicking on the dropdown where it says Offertory.  If giving to multiple funds, you must do one at a time.
  3. In the “Tell us about yourself” section enter your email address and phone number and then hit the arrow button.  This is how your account is established.  There is no need for a password.  You will use your email or your phone number to re-access your account.
  4. Choose “Credit/Debit” or “Bank Account” (giving ACH via bank is less fee to our Church).
  5. Enter your credit/debit card or bank account information.
  6. Input your additional personal information.
  7. Choose the first process date for your donation. The default is today’s date.  Click on the drop-down arrow for the calendar to select the date you want. This is your date going forward for this fund’s recurring gift.
  8. Click on the oblong button “Making $ XX.XX Gift”.  A confirmation box with a green P will pop up thanking you for your scheduled gift, identifying the fund, the amount, method of payment, and process date – please review for accuracy. A confirmation email will be sent to your email on the date the gift is processed.
  9. To set up an additional gift for a different fund  – click on the “Your Account” (far upper right-hand side of the menu bar) and select “Recurring Schedules” from the dropdown list.  There is a “+ New Recurring Donation” button on the top right-hand side of this Recurring Schedules page. Click on this button and it will take you to the Give page where you may select another fund.
  10. To make changes to any of your established gifts, follow the directions in 9. Above to get back to the Recurring Schedules page. Each of your recurring gifts will be listed. Click on the “Edit” button to the right-hand side of the row of the gift you would like to change.
  11. To set up giving for Special & Second Collections, click on the “Special and Second Collections” (upper right-hand side of menu bar to left of “your Account”).  Follow the directions on this page.  Make sure to select “Recurring” and “Yearly” since each collection is an annual one. *Take extra care to choose a donation date in the month the collection is scheduled for.

Important & Helpful Hints for setting up your gifts in OnlineGiving:

  • Your account is established with just your email address and cell phone number – a password is not necessary
  • If giving to multiple funds, you must set up one at a time
  • If you choose the frequency of ‘weekly’ – funds will be taken from your account once a week (52 times per year). If you want to give a weekly amount and have it taken from your account once a month, take your weekly amount x 52 /12 to arrive at your monthly gift.  For example, if you want to give $30 per week – $30 x 52 = $1,560 per year ÷ 12 months = $130 per month.
  • Special & Second Collections is a separate giving page which can be found by clicking the menu option on the top right-hand side of the page. All of these collections are annual collections.  When you click on Recurring, choose “Yearly” for the frequency.  Then, PLEASE choose a day in the month that the collection is for.   For example: the collection named “Christmas (December)” is a collection in the month of December.  PLEASE pick  a date in the month of December.  If you select Recurring, this gift will be processed on the same day in December every year.
